Closed loop P.I.D. controls keep a precise solder temperature. Gears and wheels built onto the solder pot make it easy to slide in and out for maintenance.

Lead-free soldering does have one glaring disadvantage. The extremely high processing temperatures can wreak havoc on wave solder equipment. The possibility of corrosion or rusting of vital parts can cause unforeseen production downtime while users await expensive replacements. What's worse,

overheating can force the premature retirement of wave solder machines long before their normal life expectancy.
